Removal
CAUTION:
Nuts and bolts must be tightened with the weight of the vehicle on
the suspension.
NOTE:
Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential
information is always correct.
All vehicles
WARNING:
Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
Refer to: Wheel and Tire (204-04 Wheels and Tires, Removal and
Installation).
CAUTIONS:
- Do not use air tools to remove the nut.
- Discard the nut.
Vehicles without dynamic suspension
CAUTION:
Discard the nut.
Vehicles with dynamic suspension
CAUTION:
Discard the nut.
All vehicles
CAUTIONS:
- Discard the bolts.
- Make sure that no load is placed on the brake hose.
Tie aside with a suitable tie strap.
CAUTION:
Discard the bolt.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the ball joint ball does not rotate.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the ball joint seal is not damaged.
Special Tool(s): 205-754A
CAUTION:
Discard the nut.
CAUTIONS:
- Make sure that the driveshaft is supported with suitable
retaining straps.
- Do not use a hammer to detach the halfshaft from the hub
assembly, failure to follow this instruction may result in
damage to the halfshaft.
Special Tool(s): 205-857
- General Equipment: Transmission jack
- General Equipment: Wooden Block
CAUTION:
Discard the bolt and nut.
Vehicles without dynamic suspension
CAUTION:
Note the fitted position of the component prior to removal.

CAUTION:

Make sure the wiring harness and electrical connectors are
not damaged during this operation.

REMOVAL
WARNINGS:
Make sure the spring compressor Safe Working Load (SWL) meets
or exceeds the spring rating quoted in the Specifcations section.
Always follow the spring compressor manufacturer's

The Telematics Control Module (TCU) receives the Global System
for Mobile
communications (GSM) and Global Positioning System (GPS) signals. Signal
reception is via roof pod which contains the GPS and GSM antennas.
The GPS signal is received by the antenna and is passed to the GPS signal
splitter.
It is the driver's responsibility to
select a gap appropriate to the
driving conditions.
Four gap settings are available. The
selected gap setting is displayed in the
Message centre when the gap adjustment
buttons are operated.

in front of the vehicle icon
