REMOVAL

WARNING:

Be prepared to catch escaping fluid.

CAUTION:

Extreme cleanliness must be exercised when handling this component.

NOTES:

  • Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.

WARNING:

Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.

Raise and support the vehicle.

Disconnect the battery ground cable.

Refer to: Specifications (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Specifications).

CAUTION:

Care must be taken when handling the component. Do not place on a surface with the seal faced down. Failure to follow this instruction may damage the component.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

Tighten the bolts in the sequence illustrated.

Torque: 9 Nm

NOTE:

This step is only required if previously removed.

Torque: 10 Nm

Torque: 8 Nm
