Rocker Panel and B
Pillar Inner (G1770926) - Removal
NOTE:
The rocker panel and B-pillar inner is installed in conjunction with:
- Front fender
- Front door
- Rear door
- B-pillar outer panel
- Headliner
- Rocker panel
NOTE:
The rocker panel and B-pillar inner is detached from the inner
ring frame as it is not serviced separately
- The rocker panel and B-pillar inner is serviced as indicated.
- Before commencing this procedure make sure that you are aware of
all Health and Safety requirements.

NOTES:
- Any joints sealed as part of vehicle manufacture must be sealed as
part of the repair.
- Make sure a zinc rich primer is applied to any bare metal surfaces.

- Release and position the floor carpet to one side.
- Release and position the floor noise, vibration, harshness (NVH)
material to one side.
- Release and position the wiring harness to one side.
- To install the rocker panel and B-pillar inner the B-pillar outer panel
will require the following cuts to be made and spot welds to be
removed as indicated.
- Remove the spot welds as indicated.
- Carefully separate the joints and remove the panel, also releasing
the Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) component as indicated.

Dress the flanges where necessary.
Detach the rocker panel and B-pillar inner joints from the new ring
frame as indicated.

Clean and inspect the components for deterioration.
NOTE:
Make sure a new retaining ring is to be installed.
