Land Rover Discovery: Parking Aid Parking Aid Module (G1780354) / Removal and Installation
REMOVAL
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
All vehicles
- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
Refer to: Specifications (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables,
Specifications).
Vehicles without occasional rear seats
NOTE:
Right side only.
Refer to: Loadspace Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation,
Removal and Installation).
Vehicles with occasional rear seats
Refer to: Auxiliary Blower Motor (412-02, Removal and Installation).
Torque: 20 Nm
All vehicles
Torque: 5 Nm
INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
If a new component has been installed, configure using Land Rover
approved diagnostic equipment.

WARNING:
Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.

INSTALLATION
CAUTION:
If a new sensor is installed, make sure that the area illustrated
is the only area painted. Failure to follow this instruction may
result in the component malfunctioning.
NOTE:
On vehicles that are equipped with black or unpainted
bumpers, the sensor(s) do not require painting.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

CAUTIONS:
Do not allow halfshafts to hang unsupported at one end or joint
damage will occur.
Make sure the halfshaft constant velocity (CV) joints do not over
articulate. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to
the CV joints.
