Land Rover Discovery: Rear end Sheet Metal Repairs Spare Wheel - Vehicles Without - 7 Seats (G1770930) - Removal

Removal

NOTE:

The spare wheel well is installed in conjunction with:

  • Rear bumper cover
  • Rear bumper
  • Rear bumper retaining rail
  • D-pillar trim panel
  • Rear folding seats
  • Back panel outer
  • Back panel inner
  • Exhaust system
  • Fuel tank
  • Rear subframe
  • Occasional seats

Rear end sheet metal repairs spare wheel well - vehicles with- 7 seats (G1770930) - Removal

  1. The spare wheel well is serviced as indicated.
  2. Before commencing this procedure make sure that you are aware of all Health and Safety requirements.

NOTES:

  • Any joints sealed as part of vehicle manufacture must be sealed as part of the repair.
  • Make sure a zinc rich primer is applied to any bare metal surfaces.

  10. Remove the occasional seats.
  11. Release and position the floor carpet to one side.
  12. Release and position the floor noise, vibration, harshness (NVH) material to one side.
  13. Release and position to one side the wiring harnesses.
  14. Remove the spot welds as indicated.

  1. Carefully separate the joints and remove the spare wheel well.
