NOTE:
The inner quarter panel assembly is installed in conjunction with:
- Rear bumper cover
- Side panel
- Quarter panel
- Quarter panel lower extension
- Fuel tank
- Fuel tank filler pipe
- Rocker panel
- Roof rear panel
- Roof panel
- Glass roof panel
- Rear subframe
- Liftgate
- The inner quarter panel assembly is serviced as indicated.
- Before commencing this procedure make sure that you are aware of
all Health and Safety requirements.

NOTES:
- Any joints sealed as part of vehicle manufacture must be sealed as
part of the repair.
- Make sure a zinc rich primer is applied to any bare metal surfaces.
- To make sure that the vehicle is correctly aligned, it must be placed
on a Land Rover approved alignment jig.

NOTE:
Right hand only.

- Remove the occasional seats.
- Release and position the floor carpet to one side.
- Release and position the floor noise, vibration, harshness (NVH)
material to one side.
- Release and position to one side the wiring harness along the inner
quarter panel and back panel.
NOTE:
The quarter panel will require the following cut to be made
to allow installation of the inner quarter panel assembly.
- Mark and cut the quarter panel as indicated.
- Remove the liftgate buffer as indicated.
- Remove the rear floor brace and bracket as indicated.
NOTE:
Do not discard the bracket as it is used in installation.
- Remove the bolts and the bracket as indicated.
- Remove the spot welds as indicated.
- Remove the spot welds as indicated.
- Remove the spot welds as indicated.
- Remove the spot welds as indicated.
- Remove the spot welds as indicated.
- Remove the spot welds as indicated.
- Remove the spot welds as indicated.
- Remove the spot welds as indicated.
- Remove the spot welds as indicated.
CAUTION:
This step will require the aid of another person as the panel
will be heavy.
- Carefully separate the joints and remove the inner quarter panel
assembly.
CAUTION:
Once the inner quarter panel assembly has been removed
support is required to hold the upper panels in position until
the new inner quarter panel assembly has been installed.
- Make sure that the upper panels are supported.

Dress the flanges where necessary.

will be heavy.
Offer up the new inner quarter panel assembly and clamp into

NOTE:
The back panel outer is installed in conjunction with:
Rear bumper cover

Rear bumper retaining rail
Rear lamp assembly
Quarter panel lower extension

Installation
Torque: 24 Nm
NOTES:
Do not tighten at this stage.
This step requires the aid of another technician.
CAUTION:
The component must be aligned with the installation
markings.
NOTES:
Make sure that new bolts are installed.
Tighten the retaining bolts working diagonally.
Renew
