Removal

REMOVAL
NOTES:
- LH illustration shown, RH is similar.
- Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential

WARNING:
Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
Refer to: Front Halfshaft LH (205-04, Removal and Installation).

Refer to: Front Halfshaft RH - FWD (205-04, Removal and

NOTE:
Discard the retaining clips.
CAUTIONS:
- Use suitable protective covers to protect the halfshaft.
- Make sure that the constant velocity (CV) joint is positioned
as illustrated.
CAUTION:
Using a suitable soft drift, strike the joint in the areas
indicated to release it from the shaft.
CAUTION:
Using a suitable soft drift, strike the component in the
direction shown to allow easy release of the retaining clip.
NOTE:
Note the orientation of the component prior to removal.

CAUTION:
Extreme cleanliness must be exercised when handling these
components.
Clean and inspect the components for deterioration.
NOTES:
Install a new retaining clamp.

Installation
Dress the flanges where necessary.
Offer up the new spare wheel well and clamp into position. Check
alignment, if correct, proceed to next step, if not, rectify and
recheck before proceeding.
Drill holes the where the metal inert gas (MIG) plug welds are to be
installed as in
